Workout Programming

We just wrapped up a massively successful 8 week strength cycle focusing on Back Squat, Bench Press, and Clean & Jerks! New and veteran members alike improved movement patterns, built confidence, and celebrated new personal records!

Our next Training Cycle starts Monday January 8th and will run up until the CrossFit Open in February. The focus will be improving technique, strength and work capacity with the barbell in all functional aspects (lifting from the floor, squatting from the rack, and overhead strength + stability).

In the meantime, we will be introducing movements that you will see in January with light load and higher volume in our strength and metabolic conditioning sessions!

Remember, you can always find our workout programming on our website:

New Coach Alert

Welcome, Coach Alexandra Cacioppo to the 150 BayFit Family! She’ll be at the gym by 5:15am Wednesdays and Fridays to lead the morning classes!

Here’s a bit about Coach Alexandra:

“A local CrossFit nomad who doesn’t want to stop sharing the kool-aid, Coach Cash is coming into 150 Bay for her next residency. Less formally known as AJ, she started CrosssFit in 2013 and started coaching in 2016 at CrossFit Hoboken.

From 2016-2022 Coach Cash focused on powerlifting while undergoing treatments and surgeries for cancers- CrossFit was too intense to recover from, but this afforded her the remarkable achievement of setting state, national, and world records across three different federations

(Squat: 300, Bench: 160, Deadlift: 335 at 132# bodyweight!).

Between a full time PE teacher and coach for many years, she’s recently decided to delve deeper into applied coaching studying for a post-doctoral degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida.

Coach Cash aspires to be working with a D1 program or professional league after finishing her education. But she feels strongly about her roots and connection to CrossFit, “I never wanted to leave the classroom as a teacher… I would never want to stop coaching in a local gym.”

She attributes the community of CrossFit to her success and strength through her sickness, she is eager to commit to helping you achieve your goals and milestones in the gym and out.

Catch her dark and early Wednesdays and Pizza Fridays (she’ll teach you about those too). She’s a strong cup of coffee for crossfitters who think they’re early birds.”

That’s all for now!

There are just two weeks left in 2023 so let’s finish this year strong so we can hit the ground running in 2024!

I’m thankful for each and everyone of you for being part of the 150 BayFit Family!

Sinéad, Jameson and I wish you and yours a joyous, loving and restful holiday season!

Coach André
